How Important Is The Field Insurance Adjuster?

How Important Is The Field Insurance Adjuster?

The field insurance adjuster does have importance in the insurance restoration process. However, it is minimal. They have purpose, especially when it comes to getting insurance coverage applied, but not to get your Xactimate estimate approved, for example.

For the most part, the field insurance adjuster has minimal importance in the process. They are sent because they are the eyes and ears of the insurance company. Knowing their role and yours as the roofing contractor – residential roofing and commercial roofing – (or insurance restoration contractor) can be crucial to the process. Don’t get hung up about overhead and profit (o&p) or other missed items by the field adjuster. Go to the inside claims team or inside desk adjuster.

In this video we will take a closer look… beyond roofing sales or Xactimate training. Let’s talk a walk and talk about it!

Preparing Customer For Insurance Process | The Practitioner Podcast 05

Is your customer on your team? Are you on the same page? Signing a new customer to a roofing sales (or insurance restoration sales) contract is a serious commitment, and one that should be taken seriously. Properly preparing and educating your customer about the insurance restoration process, about Xactimate and helping them anticipate what to expect from the insurance adjuster can go a long way towards saving you future headaches and keeping your customer in good standing.

How much does Xactimate pay for roofing tarping? The Practitioner Podcast – Episode 04. Property owners have the obligation of immediately mitigating damages. Tarping a roof 100% can be a great profit generator for roofing contractors, and can help win more roofing jobs in your roofing sales and roofing marketing. Xactimate pays quite a bit when estimating and installing correctly. In this episode of The Practitioner Podcast, Chad Michael, The Practitioner, covers it all.

RFG vs DMO | The Practitioner Podcast

RFG vs DMO | The Practitioner Podcast

Welcome to another episode of The Practitioner Podcast! Xactimate pays significantly less and is not correct in many of its default trade settings in estimates for: RFG vs DMO, INS vs DMO, DRY vs DMO and much more. Xactimate trade differences pay less.

Knowing how to manually correct these line items in Xactimate after consuming Xactimate Sketch training is only part of the problem however. It doesn’t mean that the insurance carrier will approve your Xactimate roofing estimate including o&p, for example.

But following a strategy, along with your Xactimate training, for how to end up at an approval is what’s most important. Learn how in this insurance restoration podcast.

Adjuster Wants You To Agree To Estimate Before Payment?

Adjuster Wants You To Agree To Estimate Before Payment?

Have you ever had that happen? This is so common in the insurance restoration industry. The insurance adjuster is ready to pay for your roofing job, but only if you agree to their low price now. What solutions can you easily deploy in these situations? It’s time to turn the tables back around on the insurance adjuster.

Insurance Engineer Tactics – 150 Square Roof

Insurance Engineer Tactics – 150 Square Roof

In Houston, TX the insurance adjuster acknowledged that there was hail damage to this 150 square flat modified bitumen roof. But then they backtracked and reversed course, by sending out an insurance engineer to inspect.

The engineer said that there was hail but that it didn’t damage the roof. He took samples to test in a lab for hail and we are awaiting his results.

In the meantime, we are gathering our own documentation in anticipation of a denial by the insurance company. If they deny it based on the engineer’s findings, we will submit our findings to the carrier directly and go from there.

When You Hire Me… | Getting Large Roofs Approved!

In Dallas, Texas recently with Drake Gordon of Executive Exteriors. The insurance company initially approved only a parapet wall repair for around $69,000.

However, upon further review we discovered hail damage and requested another look.

They sent an engineer who we met with (footage shown in video) and he agreed that the roof should be replaced.

They then sent a building consultant to work up an Xactimate estimate. He came up with just over $200,000. After educating him on building codes we were able to get him up to $472,000, and later – after the build – up to $487,000.

State Farm Misses Hail Damage | More Than Just The Roof

Most insurance adjusters move way too fast and they don’t take the time to slow down and actually do their job! Announcing the IES Training Course: Inspections. Estimates. Supplements.

Announcing the IES Training Course: Inspections. Estimates. Supplements.

I have been waiting a very long time to announce this and this is my very first time doing so publicly. For those who know me well, you know that this has been in the making for years.

I have long struggled with how to properly package myself to this industry in a way that can best serve my community as a whole… at scale. How to best fulfill my purpose in this industry in the most effective manner possible.

I have long strived to pour myself out to anyone who needed help. I currently receive between 20-50 Facebook PM’s per day, in addition to FB comments, text messages, emails, Instagram DM’s, Twitter messages, YouTube comments, website inquiries and phone calls. Although I can’t get back to each and every single one of them, many of you know that I almost kill myself trying to. Over 95% of that engagement has been done FOR FREE. With very limited monetization. It gives me joy, it brings me peace and it makes me happy. It’s what I love doing the most.

I spend hours every day on the phone or typing responses to contractors, mostly giving advice, free of charge to help contractors win. It is the number one passion of mine that provides true joy; being able to make a difference in the lives of business owners and their families.

I believe that I have figured out a way to help everyone who needs it from now on. I have been working on the vision for 2 years at least. And it will be a way for me to do so in much more depth, time, content and more than I possibly can do on a one-on-one basis. Although it isn’t free, many would agree that it almost is, for the overwhelming value that I’m providing. It’s important to me that everyone can access this… even the little guy.

If you follow Gary Vaynerchuk and his book (and his philosophy) “Jab, Jab, Jab… Right Hook”, I have been jabbing for years. This is my “Right Hook”. I’ve never been perfect and have made so many significant mistakes in my life (and believe me, those mistakes add value to what I’m doing now), but in preparation for this, I believe I did it the right way. And I believe that I’m doing it the right way now.

So here it goes… and I’m literally shaking with excitement and anticipation… I’m announcing for the first time: my IES Practitioner Certification Training Course. I’ve gone all-in… strictly on the subjects of Inspections. Estimates. Supplements. IES.

Now is your chance to gain access to my skills, knowledge and experience in these combined fields and become an IES Certified Practitioner.

I’m starting it out at an enrollment price that I feel is worth so much more. Much thought, debate and internal strife went into settling on the price… one of the hardest parts, literally. But the training course will always be a work in progress. Meaning, I will never stop adding to it to keep it current, relevant and producing the ability to help contractors win on a consistent basis.

The course will officially be released on June 4, 2018 at midnight. You can pre-enroll now at a $300 savings, only for the first 100 students. I expect this to sell out immediately. I’m going all-in to market it. Starting right here with this post.

Click the link in the comments below and let’s get you the tools you need to smash this industry. Let’s GOOOOOOOOOO! πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺπŸ˜‰
